Terms of service

Effective 16 October 2026

These terms explain, in plain language, the rules for using Deskdove. Please read them together with our privacy policy.

1. The service

Deskdove is an AI chat assistant that businesses install on their websites. It answers visitors from the business's own content, captures leads and booking requests, and sends them to the business. Deskdove is a product of ARKHV Group (Pty) Ltd, CIPC 2026/230380/07, 7 Ravenscraig Road, Woodstock, Cape Town, 7925, South Africa. In these terms, “we” or “us” means ARKHV Group (Pty) Ltd.

By joining the waitlist, creating an account or using Deskdove, you agree to these terms. If you use Deskdove for a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept them for that business.

2. Early access and the waitlist

Deskdove is in early access. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn't guarantee a place or a date. We'll email you when a workspace is ready for you.

During early access, features may change, be added or be removed, and there is no billing until we tell you otherwise.

3. Your account

  • Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
  • You must be 18 or older to have an account.
  • Tell us straight away at info@arkhv.com if you think someone else has access to your account.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Deskdove to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else break it;
  • send spam, or collect people's details without a lawful reason;
  • mislead, harass or harm people, or publish content that is hateful, sexual, violent or infringes someone else's rights;
  • try to trick the AI into producing harmful content, get around its instructions or limits, or overload it with automated traffic;
  • attack, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or access data that isn't yours.

We may limit, suspend or remove anything that breaks these rules.

5. AI answers can be wrong

Deskdove is instructed to answer only from your content and to say when it isn't sure, but AI can still make mistakes or misread things. It isn't a substitute for professional, medical, legal or financial advice.

As a business customer, you're responsible for the content you give it (prices, policies, opening hours and so on), for checking that its answers are right for your business, and for how you act on leads and bookings.

6. Your content

Your website content, knowledge base, conversations and leads stay yours. You give us a licence to store, copy, process and display them only as needed to run, secure and improve Deskdove for you, including sending them to the AI providers that generate replies.

You confirm you have the right to give us that content and to collect your visitors' details through the chat. You're responsible for telling your visitors how you use their information. Our privacy policy explains what we do with it.

7. Plans and billing

Prices for each plan are shown on our website. When billing starts, paid plans are handled by our payment provider, Whop, and these rules apply:

  • Paid plans are billed monthly, in advance.
  • You can cancel at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and the plan doesn't renew after that.
  • We don't refund partial months, except where the law requires it.
  • If we change a price, we'll tell you before it applies to your next billing period.

8. Availability and no warranty

We work to keep Deskdove running well, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, especially during early access. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don't give any warranties beyond those in these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost bookings or lost data, or for losses caused by AI answers you didn't check.

Our total liability for any claim about Deskdove is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

10. Ending the service

You can stop using Deskdove and close your account at any time by emailing info@arkhv.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or hasn't paid, and we'll usually warn you first.

When an account closes, we delete its content as described in the privacy policy. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as liability) still apply.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Deskdove grows. We'll change the effective date at the top and, for significant changes, email account holders before they take effect. If you keep using Deskdove after that, the new terms apply.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer elsewhere, you keep any rights your local law gives you.
